The Via Francigena will appear in ’Scarp de’ tenis’. The non-profit street newspaper dedicates its July edition to “Hiking in Italy“.
The inside cover photo of a pilgrim walking along Sigeric’s route from Canterbury to Rome foresees the paper’s journey among the Italian routes.
“A trend, but also a necessity, because starting a pilgrimage is not just excursionism” reads the text introducing a great analysis of this type of tourism which even brings lots of little villages to life.
Many experiences have been shared by many people on may routes. Among the various experts, journalists and enthusiasts was the shared analysis of Sami Tawfik, project manager of the European Association of Via Francigena Ways with a focus on hospitality and coordination.
