Via Francigena Oscars for 2019 best practices along the route will be handed to member municipalities and friends’ associations on 23 October in Pontremoli, during the EAVF General Assembly. This symbolic recognition distinguishes EAVF partners for organisation of events and re-enactments, festivals, route maintenance, animation and safeguarding heritage along the route. 

With this award the EAVF aims to create a link with local communities and stakeholders to reinforce mutual contribution to sustainable territorial development and to create a database of best practices along the route.

Artio Design handcrafted pilgrim statue will be given in categories “Grand Prix” and “Special Mention”.
