La Capanna TWIN n.1 si trova in una posizione strategica tra Emilia-Romagna e Toscana, sul Passo della Cisa, nel comune di Berceto. Qui convergono il Sentiero Italia CAI e la Via Francigena. I camminanti possono trovare la struura a pochi passi dal tracciato della Via Francigena.

he TWIN Hut n.1 follows the idea of small mountain bivouacs, a
small and hospitable place where the travellers have the opportunity
to rest and at the same time to enjoy the dimension of being
together.
The structure offers a stay that goes beyond the simple tourist
experience: those who stay in the hut decide to embrace solidarity,
supporting a project of social inclusion. WIN has in fact activated a chain of solidarity that has involved
the entire supply chain: the structure is made by the prisoners
employed in the carpentry lab of the Monza’s jail, who are following
a training course for the reintegration into society; the wood of
which it is composed comes from the areas hit by the Storm of Vaia,
extreme meteorological event that between 26 and 30 October 2018
felled 16 million trees; finally, fragile people work at the
management of the structure, thanks to a training project
coordinated by the social services of the Municipality of Berceto in
collaboration with the Cooperative Berceto Nova, which manages
the service.
