We are located in Casella, right on the route, about 40 minutes after Monteriggioni on stage no. 33 towards Siena.
We are directly on the Via Francigena—you will reach us by continuing 30-40 minutes after Monteriggioni in the direction of Siena, on stage no. 33.
From Monteriggioni Castle, follow the VF signs, and you won’t go wrong because we are right on the path.
When you arrive at the guesthouse, you will find the house on your right, with a sign that says: AFFITTACAMERE LA CASELLA.

SELF CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS
From the sign, follow the arrow, go up the stone stairs, and at door no. 12, open it and go up the wooden stairs inside the kitchen. You will find your LUNA double room right in front of you.
If my grandfather Angiolino, the owner of the house, is there, introduce yourself and tell him which room you have booked. Please note that he only speaks Italian.
For any issues, I am your contact person—write to me on WhatsApp (but never after 8 PM).
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
After the check-in time, if you do not arrive on time, it will no longer be possible to enter the guesthouse.
Check-in times vary depending on the season, but always end before dark.
- CHECK-IN: from 2 PM to 5/6 PM, depending on the season
- CHECK-OUT: by 10 AM
IMPORTANT: After 8 PM, I will no longer be available by phone or WhatsApp. Please do not disturb my grandfather Angiolino. Any issues that arise after this time will only be resolved the next day.

IN THE BATHROOM:
- Shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, and organic intimate cleanser
- Shower cap and disposable toilet seat cover
- Hairdryer
- Basin for hand washing + organic detergent
- 2 brushes for cleaning muddy boots (one soft, one hard)
- Shoe rack (outside the bathroom)
IN THE ROOM:
- Electric shoe dryer
- Kettle + instant coffee + tea and herbal teas, compostable cups and stirrers, and cane sugar
- 100% natural latex mattress or topper
OUTDOORS:
- Clothes drying rack
- Patio with a covered wooden gazebo, table, benches, and loungers
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
In my grandfather’s private kitchen:
- Washing machine (available only upon request and reservation – €5 for a short 30-minute cycle)
- Use of the private kitchen (only upon request and reservation, and subject to availability) – €5 per person, including the use of plates, utensils, pots, oil, salt, spices, etc. (You must clean up, wash the dishes, and leave everything as you found it.)
- Restaurant:
We are far from restaurants and markets, so you will need to organize your food before arriving.
The last village you will find is Monteriggioni Castle.
TWO SINGLE AIR-CONDITIONED ROOMS, ONE AIR-CONDITIONED DOUBLE ROOM, AND A SHARED BATHROOM ON THE FLOOR (EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE TWO ROOMS) + AIR-CONDITIONED COTTAGE FOR 2 PEOPLE WITH KITCHENETTE AND PRIVATE BATHROOM.

HOUSE RULES
- BEFORE ENTERING THE ROOM, IT IS MANDATORY TO REMOVE YOUR SHOES AND LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOE RACK ON THE BATHROOM LANDING.
- We do not provide bed linen and towels. They can be rented only upon prior request via email at €5 per person. If not requested before check-in, they will no longer be available.
- As a guesthouse, we cannot serve breakfast, but each room is equipped with a kettle, tea, herbal teas, and instant coffee.
- The entrance to the rooms is through my grandfather’s kitchen. You will have to pass through his kitchen to reach your room on the first floor, where the shared bathroom (for the two single rooms) is also located.
- PLEASE NOTE: WITH YOUR BOOKING, YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR ROOM, THE BATHROOM, AND THE OUTDOOR AREA. THE KITCHEN IS PRIVATE!
- ALWAYS RESPECT THE RULES OF GOOD COMMUNITY LIVING:
- Do not speak loudly, especially on the phone.
- Lower the volume of the TV, ringtones, voice, etc., after 9 PM.
- Do not use the shower after 9 PM.
- Always turn off the lights when leaving a room.
