Inside the Veio Park, in the Sorbo Valley, along the St. Francis Way between Campagnano and Formello, just a short distance from Rome we find “L’Ammonite”, the architectural design house by Paolo Portoghesi. The almost 2400sqft building, with nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a large kitchen, a splendid living space with large panoramic windows, is surrounded by nature in nearly 7.5 acres of wooded areas and park complete with a swimming pool with salt water. It is a contemporary architectural wonder inspired by the past. Constructed between 1972 and 2000 on a commission from Ambassador Francesco Corrias, as of November 2021, it has become the home of Daria Leuzinger and Maurizio Persia, artists and musicians who host cultural and artistic events.
