  • Total Length: 25,2 km
  • Difficulty by Foot: Medium
  • Suggested time:

After Foucherans, we quietly head towards a nice sport downhill slope that awaits us before arriving on an old railway.

Along a very nice path before arriving in Ornans, we pass over river Breme via a viaduct, and Ornans reveals itself, embraced by the gorgeous cliffs of its valley. Ornans, where flows the river Loue so well known for trout fishing, is the place where we can discover the museum dedicated to Gustave Courbet and his birthplace. Ornans is also nicknamed “Little Green Venice”. We take the time to visit the Courbet Museum. We follow the river Loue until Montgesoye that we cross, then Vuillafans, Lods and Mouthier-Hautepierre, absolutely gorgeous villages entitled “Cités de caractère de Bourgogne Franche-Comté”.
