Description

From Troia there is a main road (about 110 km) which, passing through towns of Troia, Lucera, San Severo, San Marco in Lamis and San Giovanni Rotondo, reaches Monte Sant’Angelo, a UNESCO World Heritage site,

and an important pilgrimage destination for the cult of the Saint Michael the Archangel. One of the strengths of the itinerary is the availability of specific pilgrims’ accommodations: the guesthouse of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Stignano at the departure; hospitality facilities in San Marco in Lamis, San Giovanni Rotondo, and the pilgrims’ hostel in Monte Sant’Angelo.
