In 2019 the BBC aired a television series about the Via Francigena, which followed travel of eight British celebrities who walked along the route from Martigny to Rome.

Step by step, the walkers, with their backpacks on the shoulders, lived an authentic experience on the Francigena route. A journey that put the accent on the values ​​of human contacts and deeper meaning of a journey.

Today on the EAVF Facebook channel @ViaFrancigenaCulturalRoute we propose to undertake this journey once again and watch few videos of the documentary, with the intent to retrace together the Francigena steps, its history, culture and discover the beauty of the route in the seven Italian regions, taking you to the Vatican City.

An attempt to keep us immersed with mind and heart in the beauty of being on the road.
