On 23 July 2020 the European Association of the Via Francigena ways EAVF participated as a main speaker in a webinar organised by the Tourism Development Institute of Uzbekistan. The webinar was focused on new tourism trends and thematic routes.
The event was moderated by Alla Peressolova, the Silk Road tourism development expert, while the main speaker was Elena Dubinina, the EAVF cultural routes and international relations advisor. Elena presented the Via Francigena route and the structure of the association, as well as she spoke about main projects and activities of the EAVF.
The webinar proved to be a great success with over 90 participants from public and private tourism sector of Uzbekistan. The Questions and Answers section of the event presented a chance for a vivid discussion about the cultural route certification, sustainable development, EAVF projects and challenges a route might face.
The EAVF is eager to share its best practices and is always open for cooperation with relevant stakeholders for sustainable tourism development in the world.
