Special pilgrims arrived yesterday in Siena. The Association “Rete passaggio chiave” (Network key step) deals with the treatment of addictions, and one of the ways in which they do this is through walkig, the mountain therapy. This time they chose the Via Francigena for their therapy.
Groups over 50 pilgrims arrived in Siena from Altopascio. From Porta Camollia they walked to the Medici Fortress where they were received by the Tourism Councilor of Siena, Sonia Pallai.
The group were excited about the journey and the experience, not only travel but also inner journey where they would have the chance to make new friends and share knowledge.
The walk took in the unmissable sites of the Piazza Duomo, the Museum Complex of Santa Maria della Scala and the Piazza del Campo. To finish they had lunch at the Orto de ‘Pecci of the #SienaFrancigena.
